The GROW Model is the most popular Process Model around. We think it’s pragmatic and solid and highly recommend it.

While no one person can be clearly identified as the originator Graham Alexander, Alan Fine, and Sir John Whitmore made significant contributions. The GROW model attracted more public attention when it appeared in the first edition of "Coaching for Performance" by John Whitmore, published in 1992. Myles Downey then developed the GROW model further into the TO GROW ME model, where the TO represents Topic, and ME Monitor Evaluate. The TOPIC is the initial understanding of the issues to be explored which takes place before goals are set. The MONITOR and EVALUATE stages allow the coach and coachee to reflect on the outcomes of the coaching
